Yes, bitches, I know I haven't updated, but work and school are whipping my ass. Good thing I am almost done with both.

So I totally meant to do this yesterday, but the family came over and I got a bit distracted!

So Chola of the Day for Sunday is Art Laboe, host of the Killer Oldies show that plays on radio stations across the U.S. This guy is a hero to all the cholas, because he takes their requests and lets them do shout-outs to their vatos and assorted relatives in lock up. Why, just last night I heard a chola send love to her man in jail, and she told him a letter was on the way and to grub out because she put money on his books!!! It doesn't get any better than that!

Yea, that award goes to Reese Witherspoon in 1996's "Freeway." While there is a ton of greatness in that film, from the "Fuck you, Chipmunk face!" to the "Bueno Sexo," hooking in East Los, Reese was the golden haired white chola that exists in every barrio. Do yourself a favor and buy this movie ASAP. It's probably the most brilliant piece of work she has ever done. In the meantime, enjoy this little clip as well.

This fine video is from the mid-90's and is basically a prime example of what makes a chola, well...a chola! I personally love the fashion statement made with the flannel and bra, because you know when she is ready to cut a bitch she just rips the overshirt off and she is ready to go.
