And So It Begins...

Ladies and Gents, I give you the very first entry for your Chola of the Day, or in this case Cholas of the Day. This site is meant to be a celebration of all things chola...and is definitely not done in disrespect. So don't kick my ass, okay? And I am Mexican, so this shit ain't meant to be racist either!

Represent, bitches!

you're funny and I'm glad your Mexican cause I am tired of the lame people.I think you know what I'm talking about..La Chola style etc. is somewhat in vogue right now and some people are exploiting and misrepresenting .. people that don't understand it need to like we say "step off". Well nothing should be taken too seriously, but I'm just sayin.
Oh, did you see Graciela Iturbide's photographs. She documented an East LA gang. There's some famous Chola pics there.
**N E way

Who remembers teenangel the zine? Late 80's?
It had the letters to homies in the pinta. Also filled with poems where people be stealing lines from oldies like Mary Wells and shit.
Drawings of clowns and roses.
Who remembers??
I'm thinking that zine's spirit's floating
around this blog.
